Recall Alert: Infiniti Recalling 134,215 G35 Coupes and Sedans

Nissan has issued a recall for 2005-2006 Infiniti G35 Sedans manufactured from March 29, 2004 through August 25, 2006, and 2005-2007 G35 Coupes manufactured from APRIL 1, 2004 through May 30, 2007 for a wiring harness problem under the front passenger seat. The harness which connects the seat belt tension sensor and the sensor in the seat that detects if the seat is occupied could experience movement which could cause an interruption of the signal that would prevent the airbag from deploying.

Nissan has not announced how they will correct the problem yet, but more information can be obtained by contacting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to http://www.safercar.gov .
